Music Video: Another hurdle.


 Everything went wrong! Let's start from the beginning. Before leaving I had to get everything together. I found all my cameras, but they were missing SD cards. I didn't have time to go out and get new ones so I had to use my phone to film. This is hard because I had planned to have multiple different forms of cameras used, I had to rethink my plans entirely. Also, Halloween fell on a Tuesday. A school night. I had to get home from school later than usual because of afterschool activities. The next day I would have to get up and go to school. This was an issue because I had limited time to be out. Anyways, I left my house. While heading to the party I filmed a few videos in the car. I arrived at the party. However, my phone completely malfunctioned. I would use my friends phone, but I didn't want to use all of their storage. Also, I got separated from the people I was going with. It was so stressful! In the end, I found my friends. It still was a rough night for me and not as fun as I expected. So because of the bad memories attached, I decided to completely overhaul. For some reason, I think the universe is taking pity on me, but they gave me another opportunity to film. I'll talk about it more in my next blog.

Music Video: My research

 4EVER - Clairo Cameras: Slow zooms, fast pans, and short shots.  Editing: Fast cutting and grainy texture. Credit screen at beginning to introduce actors. Not full screen, cropped to about 2/3 of the whole available space.  Sound: Mostly diegetic sound throughout. However, in the first 30 seconds there is a mix between silence and the diegetic sound from the music. Mis-En-Scene- Costumes were natural and retro. Lighting was mostly natural light due to filming outdoors but occasionally cut to inside with dim warm lighting. None were wearing makeup. Actors did not put on a character and rather acted as exaggerated versions of themselves. Props included glasses, microphones, and drink cups. Setting was places around a college campus. Attention - NewJeans Cameras: Unfocused and sporadic. Many wide shots. Scenes were very short. Most shots were eye level angles. Editing: Quick and fast jump cuts.
