Title Research: Run Lola Run

The opening to the thriller Run Lola Run includes the director, animator, production, and production studio, and the actors of the main characters in the show. This opening prioritizes reoccurring motifs of time and vertexes. They also emphasize quick shots, along with unclear and hazy visuals. There is also a large portion of animation, adding to the unreal feeling of the sequence. They also prioritize images of haste, such as running and quick cuts, which link back to the time motif throughout. This feeling of unease and confusion adds to the conventions we generally see in thrillers, exciting the viewer very quickly. It introduces us to the motifs and overarching storyline of the show, which results in a very effective opening sequence.

Music Video: My research

 4EVER - Clairo Cameras: Slow zooms, fast pans, and short shots.  Editing: Fast cutting and grainy texture. Credit screen at beginning to introduce actors. Not full screen, cropped to about 2/3 of the whole available space.  Sound: Mostly diegetic sound throughout. However, in the first 30 seconds there is a mix between silence and the diegetic sound from the music. Mis-En-Scene- Costumes were natural and retro. Lighting was mostly natural light due to filming outdoors but occasionally cut to inside with dim warm lighting. None were wearing makeup. Actors did not put on a character and rather acted as exaggerated versions of themselves. Props included glasses, microphones, and drink cups. Setting was places around a college campus.
